UAE Residence Visa Renewal

As UAE offers only short-term residence visas. Expats are required to renew their visas before the expiry date. For example, if your residence visa validity is two years, you must renew your visas every two years before the expiry date to live legally inside United Arab Emirates.

Non – Renewal on Late renewal can lead you to fines and other legal consequences. GDRFA allows residents a grace period of 28 days to stay in the UAE after the expiry date.

Requirements for Renewal

The process for applying for visa renewal is similar to applying for a visa for the first time. However, you don’t not need to open any file with immigration office or apply for entry permit.
The process is short and quick where you only need to:

1. Go for Medical Test

You can visit any authorized typing centre such as FZ Business Consultancy FZE for Medical test Application typing, after which you can go to one of the approved Medical Screening centres for Blood test and X-ray examination.

2. Apply for Emirates ID

3. Visa Stamping

The third and the last step is to get your renewed visa stamped and pasted on your Passport so you can continue living legally in the United Arab Emirates.

Please note, you also need to renew your insurance as getting an insurance is mandatory in Ajman, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi.
