Ministry of Education UAE

Ministry of Education is a government body in UAE that regulates education providers in UAE. Emirati Schools and Universities are monitored by the ministry to provide standard quality education in the Emirates.

Emirate Schools

Verification of school certificates and related documents is done by MOE.
School Leaving Certificates issued and attested by the ministry.

Higher Education

MOHESR is the body that can Attest academic qualifications issued by private institutions of higher education accredited in the country.
You can also apply for Equivalency Certificate & Attestation if you have a foreign degree or degree from a university which is not regulated by the Ministry.

Various Universities in UAE are accredited by Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA) of the Ministry of Education. However, most of the foreign private universities in UAE have not been able to get accreditation from the Ministry.

If you obtained a degree from a private university in United Arab Emirates licensed by KHDA, you will have to get your educational degree attested by the Knowledge and Development Authority to apply for jobs in UAE and to proceed for further post graduate studies.

From Ministry of Education in Home Country

If you plan to get a job in UAE or to open a business in UAE, you may require your attested educational documents. Before flying to UAE, make sure to get your educational documents attested by the education ministry in your Country.

For Example, Pakistani expats can get their school documents, degrees and certificates attested from HEC Pakistan. If you have an Indian Qualification, you will be required to get it attested from CBSE, UGC etc.

Distance Education Certificate:

If you are residing in UAE but are enrolled in a Foreign University via their online study portals; after graduation, you can make use of the degree in UAE by getting it attested from Ministry of Foreign Affairs. However, you will have to fulfill all the pre – requirements of first getting it attested from the Country of Degree Issuance.

For example, you are a resident in UAE and pursuing an Australian Qualification Online. You need to get your degree stamped by the Higher Education Authority in Australia such as TEQSA. Later, the degree will be attested by UAE Embassy in Australia. Once you receive the degree by courier services in UAE. The last step will be to get it attested by MOFA in United Arab Emirates.
