National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis

The National Identity Card for Pakistani Overseas (NICOP) is a registration document issued to eligible Pakistani citizens who live abroad. Any Pakistani citizen can apply for NICOP, and visa-free travel to Pakistan in the case of dual citizenship.
Documents Required for New NICOP
- Both Parent’s IDs (Passport if one parent is of other nationality)
- Local Birth Certificate or B-Form
- Passport (if any)
Documents Required for NICOP Renewal
- Old Card
- Passport Copy
Smart NICOP
Smart NICOP (Smart National Identity Card for Pakistanis Abroad) is a registration document issued to legal citizens of Pakistan. It used to be issued to Pakistani citizens abroad who had worked, lived, stayed, or studied abroad for six consecutive months or had dual citizenship, but now it can be issued to any Pakistani national residing abroad.

- NICOP For New-Born Baby
- Original Birth Certificate
- Parents Original Passports and National ID cards
- Marriage Certificate
- Duplicate of lost NICOP
- Original Passport
- National I.D card or photocopy of CNIC of any blood relative
- Smart NICOP for ID Card Holder
- Original CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card)
- Original/Photocopy of Passport
- Photocopy of CNIC Of any blood relative (Parent or Sibling)
Documents Required for Amendment in NICOP
- Date Of Birth Change

- Valid Manual Passport original or original Matriculation certificate attested by Embassy or Court order from Pakistani court
- Original NICOP
- Photocopy of ID card of any blood relative (Parent or Sibling)
- Change in Marital Status

- Original NICOP/CNIC/SNICOP of applicant
- Original Passport
- Marriage certificate attested by Pakistan Embassy
- Spouse’s National I.D card or copy of I.D Card
